At Independent Forensics LLC, clarity and integrity guide every case we handle. Founded by Matt Feterick a digital forensic examiner with over 21 years of experience in criminal justice, our mission is to make complex digital evidence understandable, defensible, and actionable in civil legal proceedings.
Experience You Can Trust
Matt Feterick brings extensive investigative experience, having served as a Detective Sergeant and Field Training Officer. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Intelligence Analysis from American Military University (graduating with honors) and am certified as a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE).
To maintain the highest technical standards, I have completed advanced training in computer forensics, mobile device analysis, and digital investigation techniques, ensuring that every case benefits from the latest methods and industry best practices.
Beyond professional casework, I mentor new examiners and interns from Purdue University, fostering technical expertise and ethical practice in the next generation of digital forensic examiners. Several former interns now work as digital forensics with the IRS, Comcast, and the “Big 4” consulting firms. I have been honored to be a guest lecturer at Purdue University and Ivy Tech.
