I spent 21 years in law enforcement, serving as a detective working major felony cases, internal investigations, and narcotics. Those years taught me how to read people, how to follow evidence, and how to keep an open mind even when the pressure was high and the stakes were real. 

For the last decade, I’ve specialized in digital forensics, engaging in complex forensic investigations that involve some of the most sensitive cases in the field. I’m especially proud of my work with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), where I investigated online child exploitation and handled legal evidence reporting that demanded absolute precision and integrity. My experience spans the full spectrum of forensic tools, including Cellebrite, Magnet Axiom, GrayKey, Belkasoft, FTK, WinHex, and Autopsy.

I founded Independent Forensics to continue challenging myself and to bring that same level of professionalism, discretion, and investigative rigor to attorneys, corporate counsel, and businesses. Every case is different — and that’s what drives me. I enjoy the unique challenges that each investigation presents, whether it’s validating a mobile extraction for a defense attorney or uncovering internal misconduct inside a business.

What sets me apart is the combination of real-world investigative experience and advanced digital forensic capability. I don’t just process data; I interpret it. I question it. I look for what’s missing. My background as a major-felony detective equips me with investigative instincts that pure technicians don’t have, while my digital forensic training ensures the legal evidence reporting is handled with accuracy and defensibility.
